May 18, 2022 - Building a Log Slice Table

I had a couple log cookies from an Alder tree I cut down in 2017, so I decided to make a table with one for our front porch. This was my first time to make and use a router flattening sled, as well as my first epoxy pour. Originally I was going to weld up steel legs for the table, but opted to build a simple base using cedar scraps I already had laying around the shop. It was definitely a learning experience, with several mistakes along the way. Still, we are happy with the way it turned out and it's perfect for our front porch.
